Hello, everyone! As you might have noticed, I haven’t been active on here for quite a while and I probably won’t be for longer. I’m coming back (actively) on 10th February after my exams are over. I hate to leave you all guys, but I need those high grades.
Now, I couldn’t leave you without some posts – so, without further notice, let’s get into this post where I talk about what are my hopes for 2018 blogging-wise and reading-wise.
Blogging Resolutions
- I want to keep writing more and more posts – as I’m writing this, I have 70 posts already written – 4 more scheduled and I would love to get past 100 this year. I think this resolution will be quite easy to accomplish.
- I want to write more discussion posts, I got some very positive reactions from you whenever I wrote them. And I really want to do a series of posts that focus on diversity in books and how those books influenced diverse readers/bloggers, so I will probably look for some people that want to help/guest post after being done with my exams.
- I would love to start a book club – I tweeted about this a while ago and most people said they’d like to join. I really love the idea and I would to see it come to life as I always wanted to join one in real life, but the options were too scarce.
- I want to support more indie authors and I started – as I accepted some of their review requests and I will probably get to all these books after the dreaded period.
- I want to befriend or at least get to know you all better.
- I want to comment on more blogs and just be very active.
Reading Resolutions
- I challenged myself to read 100 books (which means I challenged myself to read over 100 books because I’m an overachiever) – I think I only done it once before and I’m really curious to see if I can pull it off now along with blogging too.
- I want to read more genres that I usually don’t read – like mystery, thriller and historical fiction.
- I also want to read a few nonfiction books, especially psychology ones as I should give my field a chance.
- I want to read at least 5 high-fantasy books as I tend to avoid them because they take a lot of my energy and I spend a lot of time trying to finish them.
- I want to finish reading that huge list of ARCs from Netgalley and be at least, on a 80% ratio before I request anything else.
- Mostly, I just want to have fun this year and I hope I will enjoy most of the books I will read, fingers crossed!
What are your resolutions for this year? Would you like to take part in any of the potential projects I mentioned? If yes, please leave a comment and I’ll contact you (especially for the posts on diverse reads).
I’d love to help with your diverse reads post! Just let me know how after you’re done with your exams (and btw good luck!) 💗

Thank you very much, Silvia! ❤ I’ll contact you, I’m not sure what the format will be – probably a guest post on diverse books that can be a discussion (why we need more diverse books, what they mean to you, anything that you want to share) or a post with favourite diverse book. ❤ Thank you very much!!

Those are all great goals and I sincerely hope you get to achieve them all in 2018! Discussion posts really do tend to go over well, just because they are so much easier to react to than say a review. I wish you all the fun in reading and blogging out there! ❤

Thank you very much, Kat! ❤ I agree with you, people tend to react more to discussion posts and it makes sense. Though, I'll still write reviews since I love writing them a lot too, please it helps the author and the book do well (and also other bookworms find amazing reads!). Same goes to you! ❤

I won’t stop writing reviews either, they are basically why I started blogging (even if it was more for TV then) haha

Best of luck for your exams, lovely! I hope that everything will go well and if you need to rant about it all, I am always here. ❤
These are amazing goals, I hope you'll be able to achieve all of these this year. The book club idea is fantastic, I love it so much, I'm looking forward to seeing what you will come up with 😀

Thank you, Marie!!! You’ve been a huge support and I’m so glad it’s all over and now my blogging ban is over and I can finally comment on your posts. ❤
Awww, I really hope you'll be able to join in, I'm thinking of starting in March, probably since this month already started. I'll write more on Twitter about it, probably do a group on there too with people who would like to join.

I’m a bit shocked too because I’ve only started five months ago, which means I’ve written more than 10 posts per month, which is quite great, I suppose! Aw, maybe check this : https://thecursedbooks.wordpress.com/2018/01/17/on-blogging-social-media-and-arcs/
I hope it can help you with some tips! I will write about the book club on Twitter in the following days, I’m very excited! ❤

I hope you do well in your exams and I wish you all the luck with your goals. They are all great! If only I could do half the things you listed… but alas, I’m lazy. 😅

Thank you very much! Don’t worry about that, we’re all lazy. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to reach all of these, but I’m positive and I also love to list the things I would like to do because there’s this theory that you’re more likely to do a thing if you share your intention publicly. So, fingers crossed? Haha.

Yes, I’ve heard about that! And yet I’m the total opposite: as soon as I tell someone what I’m up to, it’s as good as dead. 😅

Before my exams, I had a schedule with three posts per week, so it was somewhat easy to accomplish it!! I’m going to try to get back to that, but really blogging isn’t about quantity, but more about quality – I see lots of bloggers writing rarely and they still have lots of people engaging with them and so on. So, don’t feel inadequate because of that, I just enjoy being active on the blog and writing a lot! 🙂

Awww, really? I’m totally in need of some recommendations, so if you ever have the time to tell me some of your favourites/must-reads from the genres, I’d be more than grateful! Thank you very much! ❤
