Book Tag : The Fall Time, Cozy Time

Hello, everyone! I’m here with another tag, this time I was tagged by Alex from whimsypages. Thank you for that once again, Alex! Autumn is my second favourite season (because I have my birthday in October, of course) and I just adore those thematic tags. Books + autumn = love. This being said, let’s get into the questions!

 

Crunching Leaves: The world is full of color – Choose a book that has reds/oranges/yellows on the cover

 

These covers are so beautiful, I always love red/orange/yellow covers. Also, Here We Are is the only book I’ve read from these three and I fully recommend it, if you want to read book on feminism, intersectional feminism and just get the perspectives of many different women on this great movement.

 

Cozy Sweater: It’s finally cold enough to wear warm cozy clothing – What book gives you the warm fuzzies?

 

Jenny Han’s books give me those warm feelings all over. I loved her Summer series, but I absolutely adore Lara Jean and Peter K and everything that makes this series. It’s fluffy, it’s the best if you just want to read something light and happy.

 

Fall Storm: The wind is howling and the rain is pounding – Choose your favorite book or genre that you like to read on a stormy day.

 

I think I will go with thriller/horror for this one, I enjoy reading thrillers on stormy days because it gives you the right feeling. I think I’ve read Carrie by Stephen King on this kind of weather and it added to the creepiness of the book. Also Gillian Flynn is a recommended author too!

Cool Crisp Air: What’s the coolest character you’d want to trade places with?

I will go with Annabeth Chase for this one, because the girl is highly intelligent, very competent, brave, she’s the daughter of Athena. Her loyalty and leadership skills shine and she’s one of the most trust-worthy book characters I know. I would definitely love to switch places with her (also a bonus would be spending time with Percy, who’s also cool, but y’know, Annabeth is cooler)

 

Hot Apple Cider: What under hyped book do you want to see become the next biggest, hottest thing?

I read this book back in 2014 and I remember loving it a lot, thinking ‘wow, this book should be way more popular than it actually is’. Because it’s great, also the cover gives me serious Cosima from Orphan Black vibes. Am I the only one?

 

Coat, Scarves, and Mittens: The weather has turned cold and it’s time to cover up – What’s the most embarrassing book cover you own that you like to keep hidden in public?

I don’t have any, except for this book that my mom bought for me because apparently it was the thing that the librarian recommended her because all the girls love it.

It’s not even that embarrassing, it’s just that it seems like a Historical Fiction Romance I wouldn’t be interested in reading. Also, it’s a romanian edition, the book is called Desire by Amanda Quick.

Pumpkin Spice: What’s your favorite fall time comforts food/foods?

Cupcakes. Anything that has chocolate in it, really. And it’s not only during fall, it’s anytime. Also, I love eating ice-cream and I’ve been known to eat it even during the colder seasons because I adore it that much.
